Business Prospect

To boost the company’s business, PT Timah (Persero) Tbk continues to develop the establishment and injection of PVC materials and lead its business to downstream business, one of them is the tin chemical which mostly used in the process of rolling, heat stabilizer. The Company uses white tin based chemical material (Sn) which is more superior rather than the black tin chemical based (Pb). It is eco-friendly product, show longer endurance and keep stable in high temperature.

In addition to tin chemical, the Company through its subsidiary, PT Tambang Timah, produces tin solder in form of wire wound by using white tin (Sn) as major raw material.

Moreover, non-tin mining business covering coal and asphalt. These businesses developed by PT Tanjung Alam Jaya, which part of its shares owned by PT Timah Investasi Mineral, a producer of coal with 6,500-7000 calorie. While the joint operation between PT Timah (Persero) Tbk and PT Sarana Karya (SAKA) produce Buton Granular Asphalt (BGA 15/25) and Lawele Granular Asphalt (LGA 80/30) with 24-30 % of bitumen content.
